Period: Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for four weeks, starting on June 21 and ending on July 14.
Age Group: The camp will serve children and teens in Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Program:
Students will learn about the "Orthodox Liturgical Life", driving an understanding of the Divine Liturgy and how our worship as Orthodox Christians lives in the Liturgical Tradition and the Eucharist.
The lessons will cater to different audiences: elementary school-age versus middle school age.
We will cover the materials of St. Mark's Festival.
We will have indoor and outdoor activities. Parents will be informed when outdoor events are planned to prepare their children with the appropriate change of clothes.
Meals: Summer Camp will offer lunch, mid-day snacks, and juice. We will be observing the Fast of the Apostles during most of the summer camp. Fish, seafood, and vegan food will be offered. If your child(ren) has any food allergies, please indicate so in the form.
Cost: The church will cover most of the cost of lunch, snacks, drinks, materials, and supplies necessary for the camp's events. We do encourage all the parents to support this ministry and consider making a minimum donation toward the camp's expenses.
